The bi-annual Royal Adelaide v Barwon Heads interclub match was held at Royal Adelaide over the weekend. Originally scheduled for 2021, the 4BBB handicap matchplay event was postponed until this year due to travel restrictions.
Dreary (some may say dreadful) conditions met the golfers on Saturday afternoon for the first round of play. Both teams soldiered on through the persistent rain and wind, with Royal Adelaide edging out in front 4.5 matches to 3.5.
Better conditions greeted players on Sunday with sun and the occasional light shower. The conditions seemed to favour the home team with Royal Adelaide winning 7 of the 8 matches to take another commanding victory at home.
