Often regarded as one of the best holes at Royal Adelaide, the 3rd green remains faithful to Dr Alister MacKenzie’s original design. Its famous “leg of mutton” green, with an oblique ridge left and a knoll to the right, is framed by dense grass and rushes. Brave players may chase an eagle two — but history shows the danger, with Norman Von Nida once making nine and Colin Montgomerie needing eight in 1989.

Golden hour doesn’t get much better than this at Royal Adelaide. The 4th hole stretches out beautifully in the warm sunset light, every contour and bunker catching that late-day glow. Off to the left, the clubhouse sits quietly overlooking the course, while the 6th green to the right is framed by long shadows and natural sandy textures.

A perfect reminder of just how stunning the course looks as the day winds down. 🌅⛳️

A golden morning over the Royal Adelaide Golf Club clubhouse — standing proudly since 1906.

Its classic architecture, framed by rolling fairways and sculpted bunkers, captures the timeless character of our Club.

More than a century on, it remains the heart of the Royal Adelaide experience.

A stunning aerial look at the 7th green at Royal Adelaide — one of the most iconic par 3s in South Australia.

Beautifully framed by its distinctive ring of bunkers and natural sandy surrounds, the 7th demands precision off the tee and rewards a well-executed shot.

After a marathon contest that will be remembered as one of the longest finals in Club history, the Women’s A Grade Championship concluded yesterday with Alice Cho defeating Sophie Hilditch 4/3.

The match resumed on Sunday after the original final on 2 November was postponed after three holes due to storms, adding an extra layer of anticipation to an already closely fought battle.

A big congratulations to @alice__golf217

A sunrise like no other at Royal Adelaide.

The first light rolls across the fairways, the bunkers cast long shadows, and the day begins with that classic mix of calm and anticipation. There’s something special about watching the course wake up — the golden glow, the train sliding past, and the whole place looking its absolute best.

Magic mornings like this never get old. 🌅⛳️
