Coaching and Lessons

Royal Adelaide Golf Club’s Coaching Professionals provide a variety of services, delivered with the assistance of the latest technology in a world class environment.

The team brings together a wide knowledge base from a variety of coaching and playing backgrounds and pride themselves on engaging in constant professional development. The coaching environment incorporates multiple short game areas, a driving range, putting green and undercover teaching facility to ensure that we can recreate any on course situation and our students are able to learn in a realistic environment.

Opened in 2023, our undercover teaching facility provides a private learning space complete with Trackman, slow-motion video analysis and WellPutt putting studio.

CHRIS CROCKER

DIRECTOR OF GOLF AND TEACHING PROFESSIONAL

Director of Golf, Chris Crocker, is a Certified PGA Australia Professional (advanced in Coaching,) with an extensive coaching background with players of all ages and abilities. Chris’ resume includes extensive coaching of juniors from beginners to elite and delivering women’s specific and elite player programs. A current Golf Australia High Performance Program Coach, Chris believes in a holistic coaching approach, incorporating game analysis and a scoring led approach to making changes.

He is currently the South Australian representative (on) the PGA of Australia Vocational Members Council.

A Certified member of the Australian PGA with over 21 years industry experience, Chris is passionate about the growth and development of our game at both a junior and senior level.

MATT ANTELL

JUNIOR GOLF COORDINATOR AND TEACHING PROFESSIONAL

With over 15 years of specialist coaching experience from around the world, Matt is passionate about providing the very best coaching experiences possible to his students – whether they are simply ‘learning to play’ the game or are ‘playing to win’ at the competitive level.

Matt has designed, developed and delivered industry leading programs at club, state and national level both in the UK and here in Australia, where his player-centred approach has seen him work with European Tour professionals; Golf Australia and England Golf.

As part of his coaching Matt utilises the latest in technology (including TrackMan ball & club tracking, 3D motion capture and slow-mo video) and has a support team of service providers to offer his players with a holistic program of improvement.

PATRIC KROSCHEL

Golf Operations Coordinator and Teaching Professional

Patric is a past Club Champion at RAGC and a former state player. He has been actively involved in the Club’s junior programs throughout his time at the Club. 
 
Through his own golfing journey, Patric has gained a wide range of experience and knowledge from playing interstate and overseas as well as working with some of the country’s best coaches. 
 
Patric earned qualification through the PGA’s Membership Pathway Program in December 2023.

TONY CHRISTIE

Tour Professional Articulation (Bridging Program)

Tony turned professional in 1993 following an amateur career where he represented New Zealand at junior and men’s level. Tony has won 14 events worldwide on Professional tours and brings a wealth of playing experience to his coaching. Tony capably coaches players from all spectrums of the game.

Tony commenced the Tour Professional Articulation (Bridging Program) in 2021.

EBONY RIORDAN

2nd YEAR ASSOCIATE PROFESSIONAL

Ebony joined the PGA’s Membership Pathway Program in January 2023.

Ebony had an exceptional amateur career as 3-time SA Women’s Amateur Champion 2006, 2007 and 2010, 2011 Rene Erichsen Salver winner, 2009 Queensland Stroke Play Champion and 7-time Kooyonga Women’s Club Champion.

Since passing her introductory coaching qualification in July, Ebony has been assisting the senior coaching staff with Women’s Pathway and Junior Development clinics.

Ebony will commence 1-on-1 lessons in 2024.

JACK SPEIRS

2nd YEAR ASSOCIATE PROFESSIONAL

Jack joined the PGA’s Membership Pathway Program in January 2023.

Jack was a ‘late bloomer’, starting golf in his late teens. He has dedicated countless hours since to reaching and exceeding the level his peers and learning as much about the game as he could along the way. He represented his club, Kooyonga, at the highest level of competition before joining the Program.

Since passing his introductory coaching qualification in July 2023, Jack has been assisting the senior coaching staff with Women’s Pathway and Junior Development clinics.
