LIV golf’s debut in Adelaide is fast approaching and South Australia is anticipating an influx of interstate and overseas visitors keen to get up close to some of the world’s best players.
Royal Adelaide has received unprecedented reciprocal and visitor demand for the period before, during and after the LIV tournament to be played Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd April. It’s a busy sporting calendar coming up in Adelaide with the Easter holiday period leading directly into the AFL Gather Round, LIV Golf event and Anzac Day. As the number 1 course in South Australia, Royal Adelaide is certainly high on the priority list of many interstate golfers when they are in town.
The Committee and Golf Operations team have carefully considered the member guest, reciprocal member and visitor access over this period and have made adjustments to balance member access with accommodating as many external requests as possible. This is consistent with the other local sandbelt clubs. With limited daylight, the starting formats have been designed to maximise course access on all days, while ensuring course maintenance and ground staff have appropriate access. Some days will comprise dual shotgun starts.
We understand that these changes and access times will not suit all members, but we would appreciate members understanding the fine balance required during this period.
Timesheets for Monday 10th April to Tuesday 26th April inclusive will open at the usual time of 3.00pm, 8 days prior.
