2024 MIXED FOURSOMES CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP

A field of 38 players braved sweltering conditions for the 2024 Mixed Foursomes Club Championship on Sunday 4th February.

A dominant performance from Harry Coote & Laura Birchmore saw them win the J.J & I. Holden Salver by seven shots and as such be crowned the 2024 Mixed Foursomes Club Champions. Laura had previously won the event in 2019 paired with Matt Earl.

The Mixed Foursomes Club Championship was first played in 1959 and was won by M.S. & Mrs Field. The trophy, the J.J. & I. Holden Salver, was donated by its namesakes in 1968

Steven Copley & Sharon Honner were runners up on 83 with Steph & Tim Evans 85 (2005 champions) and Claire & Jim Sweeney 88 (2006, 2008, 2014 champions) rounding out the top 4.

The People to People Trophy was first played in 1976 and is awarded to the pairing with the best net score. Mark & Ali Coventry won in 2024 with a fabulous net score of 68.5. Previous winners of the People to People Trophy, Sue & Craig Ball (2021) were runners up on net 70, with Mariana Bogota Atehortua and Luke Johnston third with net 70.5 and Steph & Tim Evans (winners in 2001 and 2005) fourth with net 71.
