Congratulations to Sophie Hamdorf who was named the South Australian Golf Course Graduate of the Year. The award is in recognition of Sophie’s commitment and hard work throughout her time as an apprentice at Royal Adelaide.
Sophie was our first full-time female employee of on course staff when she was hired in 2019 as an apprentice greenkeeper. She graduated as a fully qualified greenkeeper in November 2022.
As SA’s winner, Sophie will now present to an ASTMA (Australian Sports Turf Management Association) panel in an effort to win the National Graduate of the Year title. The winner will be announced in mid-June.
