The 2023 Women’s Golf Season commenced in fine style as a sea of pink descended on the course for the second running of the Cross Country Pink Tee Ambrose event.
There was a lot to process as not only was golf skill required, members needed to draw on their orienteering and general fitness skills to tackle the course.
Brunch followed golf with 144 in attendance where Women’s Head of Golf, Di Tallis welcomed members and spoke of the upcoming year of golf.

Congratulations to Ash Younger, Jan Goode, Di Gilkes and Penny Mills who dominated the Thomson Course to win the event with a score of 20 nett for 9 holes by 1.875 shots from Anne Tolley, Deb Weir, Susie Osborne and Jenny Menz.
On the MacKenzie course Tina Hayward, Sandy Hayes, Marnie Davidson and Maureen Lavender had a brilliant score of 21.25 nett to win by .375 shots from Di Tallis, Shelly Yu, Soo Kim and Kathy Quinton.
The 2023 Women’s Opening Day will be held on Tuesday 28th February with 9 holes of golf at 8.30am followed by brunch.

FORMAT
- 9 Holes Ambrose. Cross Country Event. (Ambrose 4’s. Details to be advised).
- 8.00am for 8.30am shotgun start.
- Brunch to follow golf.
- Cost – $24.00 per person for Brunch and $5.00 competition fee.
