Junior Coaching programs at Royal Adelaide
With a strong history of producing both leading amateurs and touring professionals, RAGC understands the important role that juniors play within the club and maintains a strong focus on it’s Junior Membership experience, where our international team of golf professionals and member volunteers play an active role in ensuring the best experience for each young golfer.
High Performance program:
Our HP program is scholarship funded for young golfers looking to progress to an elite level and represent the golf club on the state/national stage. Successful applicants receive funded access to leading specialists who work alongside our teaching professionals to provide players with individualised support and mentoring.
Junior member program:
All RAGC junior members benefit from FREE lesson vouchers as part of their membership that can be redeemed with any of our PGA Professionals.
In addition, our weekly program of clinics aim to develop each player’s technical & tactical skills to support their on-course play. These clinics take place at 4pm on Wednesday’s during term time, with additional training on Saturday mornings for players selected to represent Royal Adelaide in inter-club competitions. Our PGA Professional team also organise coaching camps exclusively for members during the school holidays.
Aimed at providing non-members with the perfect introduction to the game, MyGolf is Golf Australia’s introductory program (targeted at primary school aged children between the ages 5 and 12). Our MyGolf clinics use a game-based approach to introduce kids to golf, develop their skills and to make them and their parents feel comfortable at RAGC. The program also includes on-course activities to help transition players on in to junior membership. MyGolf clinics take place during school holiday periods, with registration conducted via the MyGolf website here.
The Royal Adelaide Golf Club is the home of Adelaide’s premier Australian PGA coaches dedicated to ensuring Junior golfers reach their golfing potential.
