Junior Academy programs at Royal Adelaide
With a strong history of producing both leading amateurs and touring professionals, RAGC understands the important role that juniors play within the club and maintains a strong focus on it’s Junior Academy and Junior Membership, where our team of golf professionals and member volunteers play an active role in ensuring the best experience for each young golfer.
1. MyGolf program:
Open to both members and non-members, MyGolf is Golf Australia’s introductory program, targeted at primary school aged children between the ages 5 and 12. MyGolf uses game-based activities to introduce kids to golf and develop their skills. Our program also includes weekly on-course activities for the ‘Stars’ & ‘Masters’ classes to help transition players in to competition and junior membership.
Our MyGolf classes take place at the following time on Saturday’s during term time:
– Rookie (introductory class for beginner golfer) @ 4pm
– Stars (for juniors players transitioning to on-course play) @ 3pm
– Masters (for juniors able to play independently from the green tees) @ 2pm

2. Cadet program:
For RAGC junior members, our Cadets program develops player’s technical & tactical skills to support their on-course play. Weekly clinics are followed by 9 hole junior stableford competitions that comprise a term-long order of merit series. Cadets classes take place at 1pm on Saturday’s during term time.
3. High Performance program:
Our HP program is scholarship funded for young golfers looking to progress to an elite level and represent the golf club on the state/national stage. Successful applicants receive funded access to specialists who work alongside our teaching professionals to provide individualised support and mentoring.
