Meet our Professionals

 

Chris Crocker

Director of Golf & Teaching Professional

Director of Golf, Chris Crocker, is a Certified PGA Australia Professional  (advanced in Coaching, Game Development, Management and Small Business) with an extensive coaching background with players of all ages and abilities.  Chris’ resume includes extensive coaching of juniors from beginners to elite and delivering women’s specific and elite player programs. Chris believes in a holistic coaching approach, incorporating game analysis and a scoring led approach to making changes.

Prior to joining Royal Adelaide he held the position as Head Professional at North Adelaide Golf Course and Kingston Beach Golf Course, Tasmania, before joining the Club as Golf Operations Manager, a position he has held for the past five years. He is currently Chair of the PGA of Australia SA Divisional Committee and a member of the PGA of Australia Vocational Members Council.

Matt Antell

Junior Golf Co-ordinator & Teaching Professional

PGA Advanced Professional Matt Antell has built a reputation as one of the leading and most qualified golf coaches in Australia.

With over 15 years of specialist coaching experience from around the world, Matt is passionate about providing the very best coaching experiences possible to his students – whether they are simply ‘learning to play’ the game or are ‘playing to win’ at the competitive level.

Matt has designed, developed and delivered industry leading programs at club, state and national level both in the UK and here in Australia, where his player-centred approach has seen him work with European Tour professionals; Golf Australia and England Golf.

As part of his coaching Matt utilises the latest in technology (including TrackMan ball & club tracking, 3D motion capture and slow-mo video) and has a support team of service providers to offer his players with a holistic program of improvement.

Patric Kroschel

Teaching Professional

Patric completed the PGA’s Membership Pathway Program in December 2023. Patric is a past Club Champion at RAGC and a former state player. He has been actively involved in the Club’s junior programs throughout his time at the Club.

Patric has a wide range of experience and knowledge from playing interstate and overseas as well as working with some of the country’s best coaches.

Tony Christie

Teaching Professional

Tony started playing professional golf in 1993 following an amateur career where he represented New Zealand at junior and men’s level. He initially played on the Australasian tour where he won the Cairns classic in 2005. He won the VonNida order of merit in 1998 and won some events on tour. Subsequently he played on the Nike tour and a handful of European tour events.

Tony has experience of coaching players from all spectrums of the game and continues to compete at a Professional level.

Individual coaching:

Swing Analysis
An in-depth assessment to improve either your full swing, short game or putting technique utilising the latest in coaching technology.

Performance Coaching
In addition to the technical assessment provided with a 30 minute Swing Analysis, a 60 minute Performance Coaching session also includes skill development activities and competitive training to maximise your all round technical, tactical and mental performance.  

On Course Lesson
Play with Matt, one of our PGA Professionals, on the famous Royal Adelaide links and improve you strategy, course management and mental skills.

Group programs:

Junior Academy

Our Junior Academy operates three tiers of programs for each stage of a young golfers pathway, beginning with our MyGolf program for beginner and novice golfers, followed by our Cadets program for RAGC junior members and topped off with our High-Performance program which supports our elite players competing in state and national events.

Women’s Academy

In line with Golf Australia’s ‘vision 2025’ to support the growth of women’s golf, our Women’s Academy provides two tiers of programs to transition players from beginner to club member. Let’s Go Clubbing is a 5 clinic/7.5 hour intensive program that prepares beginner golfers for the course and our Fairways Program for the novice golfer provides club membership and on going mentoring from a team of dedicated members.
